The Missouri History Museum takes you on an exploration of the Mighty Mississippi, telling the story of the river through artifacts that span 1,000 years of history.

~MISSOURI HISTORY MUSEUM~

The museum, located in St. Louis’ famous Forest Park, has opened a new special exhibit; 6,000 square feet, with over 200 artifacts that explore the cultures that have sprung up around one of the greatest watersheds in the world.

~MISSISSIPPI ARTIFACTS~

Go back through time from the steamboats and factories of the industrial age, to the Indian fur trade networks, to the largest American Indian centers that called the Mississippi River region home over 1,000 years ago.

~UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY~

The Missouri Historical Society has one of the largest collections of intact Mississippian artifacts in the country. It’s been 30 years since so many have been on display together and you do not want to miss this unique opportunity! The exhibit only runs through April 18, 2021 so get it added to your River Road Trip itinerary and see it while you can!
