Mississippi River, USA: River Travel Magazine is announcing the Nomination Period for the 2021 Best of The River contest at rivertravelmagazine.com/bestof, nominees can be added starting Friday, February 5th.
Last year’s Best of The River included 75+ new categories focusing on the best attractions, accommodations, food & drink, and more along the Great River Road from its origin in northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana.
Thousands of visitors and locals nominated and voted on categories ranging from best farm-to-table restaurants, art galleries, music venues, cultural trails, best museums, best riverboat tours, best breweries, and more.
Last year’s Multicategory winners included National Eagle Center (Wabasha, MN), Fort de Chartres State Historic Site (Prairie Du Rocher, IL), Goldmoor Inn & Dining (Galena, IL), and The Charmant Hotel (La Crosse, WI). Best Downtowns included Galena, IL, La Crosse, WI, and Cape Girardeau, MO and many more celebrated attractions, accommodations, food & drink options were included in the voting.

River Travel Magazine hopes the 2021 survey will shine a light on the valuable attractions, eateries, and accommodations along our nations rivers that have been under stress due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.
