Mississippi River, USA: River Travel Magazine is announcing the 2020 Best of The River contest early this year at rivertravelmagazine.com/bestof, this “Best of” survey with 75+ new categories is focusing on the best attractions, accommodations, food & drink, and more along the Great River Road from northern Minnesota to Louisiana.
River Travel Magazine has moved up its annual survey in hopes that it will shine a light on the valuable attractions, eateries, and accommodations along the Great River Road during the pandemic. Tourism supported businesses will be struggling through the next few months. River Travel Magazine wants people to remember the fun times they’ve had and share their favorites. The survey hopes to aid in not forgetting these critical businesses and people on the river road, and hopefully encourage travelers to plan a trip to these locations when the pandemic is over.
Participants of the survey are invited to share their favorites with family and friends and encourage and support these valuable resources in each river road community as much as they can, and hopefully prevent businesses from closing indefinitely. Amy Gabay, co-founder of River Travel Magazine stated

The initial survey runs until April 23, visitors and locals are invited to submit their choices in categories ranging from best farm-to-table restaurants, art galleries, music venues, cultural trails, best museums, best river boat tours, best breweries and more.
Top category nominees will be moving forward in the final round of voting running May 1-31 winners being announced June 9.
Only attractions, accommodations, and culinary activities located in bordering communities, towns, counties, and parishes on the Mississippi River are applicable for nomination.
