Mississippi River, USA: River Travel Magazine is announcing the results of the 2020 Best of The River Road contest at rivertravelmagazine.com/bestof/.

This year’s Best of The River Road included 75+ new categories focusing on the best attractions, accommodations, food & drink, and more along the Great River Road from its origin in northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana.

Thousands of visitors and locals nominated and voted on categories ranging from best farm-to-table restaurants, art galleries, music venues, cultural trails, best museums, best river boat tours, best breweries and more.

River Travel Magazine hopes the winner announcements will shine a light on the valuable attractions, eateries, and accommodations along the Great River Road that have been under stress due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Multicategory winners included National Eagle Center (Wabasha, MN), Fort de Chartres State Historic Site (Prairie Du Rocher, IL), Goldmoor Inn & Dining (Galena, IL), and The Charmant Hotel (La Crosse, WI). Best Downtowns also included Galena, IL, La Crosse, WI, and Cape Girardeau, MO and many more celebrated attractions, accommodations, food & drink options were included in the voting.
