Pepin County County, WI (November 12, 2020): With help from the Tourism Relief to Accelerate Vitality and Economic Lift (TRAVEL) Stimulus Grant program, Pepin County is set to release “Get Outside! Outdoors in Pepin County”. A winter-focused campaign highlighting the outdoor recreation activities of Pepin County. The campaign’s messaging will focus on featuring activities that can be done with social distancing in place.
The campaign is set to run through December and is geared toward area drive markets to encourage outdoor enthusiasts and families to enjoy the outdoors. Pepin County offers a variety of accommodations, eateries, shopping, and silent sports activities; the County has an abundance of outdoor experiences catering to the amateur to experienced outdoorsmen.

The sweepstakes include an overnight stay from the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Durand, drinks & dining at The Pickle Factory, Two Slices of Pie from Stockholm Pie and General Store, and items from Eau Galle Cheese.
This region is ideal for a visitor who is taking Covid-19 considerations into account while traveling and desires fewer crowds in a safe environment. The proceeds from the Wisconsin TRAVEL grant program will benefit the many shops, attractions, and restaurants located within Pepin County, many of which have covid considerations in place, including curbside pick-up and established safety practices and procedures.
Pepin County received $4,923.00 from the TRAVEL Stimulus Grants. The money has been allocated for the area sweepstakes, River Travel Magazine’s digital advertising package, campaign social inclusion, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
The goal of the Wisconsin TRAVEL grant program is to aid the recovery of local entities that promote tourism, which is one of Wisconsin’s largest industries and was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. This grant is being offered in alignment with the Department of Tourism’s strategic imperative of driving economic impact by aiding in the state’s economic recovery.
