Getting over 3,000 tons of ice to spin is no easy task. A northwoods family in Little Falls, Minnesota won the World Record in 2019 and are looking to do it again in 2020.

~WHEN TO GO~

This year’s I.C.E Fest is February 8-9 on Green Prairie Fish Lake. Canada recently took hold of the World Record with an ice carousel that was 688 feet wide. Which is nearly a half mile around! The crew behind I.C.E. Fest has a huge new record to beat. Fingers crossed they bring the trophy back home with this year’s attempt!

~GETTING OUT ONTO THE ICE~

The Ice Carousel is pretty impressive in itself, but there’s more to do at I.C.E. Fest then just watch the world spin by. Try your hand in one of the curling, ice hockey, or ice skating events. There are also snowmobile rides.

~DOING IT ALL FOR A CAUSE~

The Fest is free, but visitors are encouraged to join in on the fundraiser to feed kids who live in households under the poverty line. The event is on year three and has raised over $15,000 so far to feed children. The Flyer Pride Pack program sends kids home from school with a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly meals for the weekend.
